What it does
Preliminary CSA O86 based SINGLE-WALL elevation calculator: lateral point loads and gravity loads on one wood shearwall, unit shear vs a source-tagged sheathing schedule, hold-down / chord tension and compression enveloped over both loading directions, overturning vs gravity restoring, and the CSA O86 four-term deflection (bending, panel shear, nail slip, anchorage) against a drift limit.
What it does not do
One wall segment at a time - diaphragm distribution (flexible/rigid), torsion, collectors, chords between segments, and multi-storey stacking are NOT implemented. Sheathing schedule values are representative placeholders unless replaced with verified CSA O86, CWC, CCMC, or manufacturer data. Perforated shearwall method, automatic NBC wind and seismic loads, CLT systems, and final connection selection are not implemented.
How to use it
Use for preliminary lateral system layout, demand collection, and review planning only. Verify all resistance values, fastening schedules, hold downs, collectors, chords, diaphragm assumptions, and code clauses before project use.
